About The Tournament

Welcome to the inaugural St. Andrew’s Golf Classic sponsored by the St. Andrew’s Foundation of the Eastern Shore.  On September 21, 2026, you will all contribute to the mission of the Foundation:

Providing scholarships to Eastern Shore high school students to attend music camp to master their skills or attend an academic summer abroad program at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where they will join students from around the world to learn more about Scottish culture, traditions and history.  Thank you for helping make this happen.

 

The following information should provide you with answers to your questions regarding this tournament.

1.     Format: Shamble.  Team selects best drive, then each player plays own ball until they are holed.

2.    Start Time: 10:30 a.m.  Simulators and putting green are available for warm up.  The registration check-in opens at 8:30 a.m.

3.    Bring with you: Golf clubs, golf shoes, extra balls, sunscreen, and hat.

4.    Dress Code:  Collared shirts for men, (no denim). SCOTTISH ATTIRE:  kilts, scarves, socks, caps whatever tartan or plaid you may have.

5.    Lunch on the course.  Water in cart and on the course.  Refreshments and light fare will be provided during the Awards Ceremony.

6.    MacMulligans: Available at check-in.  One for $10.00, three for $25.00.     

7.    Contests: One each for women and men. Longest drive, Closest to pin. One Hole-in- one for all participants.

8.    Teams: Foursomes. If you don’t have a foursome, twosomes and individuals will be paired randomly to form a foursome.

9.    Spectators: Are welcome to watch the golfers play but there will be no golf carts available and spectators are not included in any sponsored amenities such as food or drink.  

10.    Rain: The tournament will be held rain or shine.

11.    Awards: The ceremony will be held after the end of play.

12.    Proceeds from Tournament: The St. Andrew’s Foundation of the Eastern Shore, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization will use the proceeds to support scholarship programs dedicated to addressing social and educational needs on the Eastern Shore.

13.    Registration: All participants must be preregistered to participate in tournament.

14.    How to become a sponsor: To become a sponsor, please view the listed options provided in the brochure.
